Chaukhandi Stupa

Marking the spot where Lord Buddha met five ascetics, Chaukhandi Stupa is said to have developed from a centuries-old burial mound. Tracing its history from the 5th-century AD, Chaukhandi Stupa is one of the most important Buddhist religious centers in Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh.
